Part of the Planet Series, this floriferous perennial produces clusters of vivid carmine-red, funnel-shaped blooms with golden-yellow throats dramatically speckled and streaked in dark brown. The rich flowers stand out beautifully against the abundant dark green, lance-shaped foliage, creating a vibrant display throughout summer and into early autumn. Its tidy, clump-forming habit makes it especially useful towards the front of borders, in mixed perennial planting schemes or in containers where its exotic flowers can be enjoyed at close range. The abundant blooms are also excellent for cutting, offering strong colour and an unmistakable lily-like form for summer arrangements. Alstroemeria 'Mars' combines compact growth with exceptional flower power, making it a superb choice for long-lasting seasonal colour. Ultimate height: 60cm (24in). Ultimate spread: 50cm (20in).
