Apple (Malus) Egremont Russet Egremont russet produces heavy crops of distinctive russet-bronze fruits, firm and crisp flesh with a lovely nutty flavour. Suitable for growing in a pot, you will be able to squeeze one of these apple trees into even the smallest gardens. The russet has stood the test of time and has remained a variety since its discovery in Sussex in the 18th century.
