Astrantia major 'Star of Beauty'

From the Sparkling Stars series, Astrantia major 'Star of Beauty' boasts a profusion of long-lasting, ruby red blooms from June to August. Each pincushion bloom fades to white at the centre, giving a lovely bicolour effect. The foliage is glossy green and deeply divided, forming an attractive spreading clump. Loved by bees and butterflies, this hardy perennial is ideal for planting in wildlife areas or cottage garden borders.
