Bergenia 'Fire & Ice'

Bergenia ‘Fire & Ice’ bears white, bell-shaped flowers with contrasting dark pink calyces creating a pretty spring display from March to May.The flowers stand out against a background of large, glossy, dark green leaves that provide excellent ground cover in shade, even in the dry soil beneath trees and shrubs. This low-maintenance and adaptable plant spreads by rhizomes, colonising areas in sun or shade on any soil type. The evergreen, leathery leaves suppress weeds whilst injecting colour and texture throughout the year, often taking on bronze shades through the winter months. Bergenia ‘Fire & Ice’ is perfect for cottage gardens, low-maintenance planting schemes and wildlife areas, where it will attract pollinating insects foraging for early food sources.
