Bred by the Scottish Crop Research Institute, Blackcurrant 'Ben Alder' is an exceptionally hardy, late-season variety that has become popular with commercial growers. This late flowering fruiting variety escapes spring frosts to bear heavy crops of juicy fruit from June to July. Blackcurrant 'Ben Alder' exhibits good disease resistance, including mildew and leaf spot. Height and Spread: 120cm (47in).
