Clematis ?Mrs Choldmondeley? - Clematis This free flowering variety is a real stunner. When grown in partial sun it can reach a height of up to 3m and can spread to around 1m. It has wide velvety purple flowers that will introduce a tropical vibe into your outdoor space. Awarded an RHS Award of Garden Merit, this Old man?s beard loves to climb and would enjoy sprawling up a climbing frame, trellis or fence. Clematis ?Mrs Choldmondeley? blooms throughout early Summer and is best grown in light shade as the flowers prominent colour tends to fade in the direct sun. It has large star shaped violet flowers that often reappear in the late Summer months. This Clematis plant is ideal for cottage gardens and patio?s, it grows well in containers due to it?s compact habit.
