Iris Lent A. Williamson is a tall bearded iris renowned for its strength and stunning colouration since its introduction in 1918. Known for its vigour, this robust and prolific bloomer produces large, richly coloured flowers on sturdy, branching stems. The violet standards contrast beautifully with the royal purple falls, which are heavily veined near the throat, and are complemented by a vibrant orange-yellow beard. This majestic iris makes a striking focal point in sunny borders, and even when not in bloom, its blue-green, sword-shaped foliage adds a bold vertical element to your garden design. The luxurious blooms are also perfect for enhancing summer bouquets, making Lent A. Williamson an excellent choice for the cut flower garden. Blooms in May and June. Height: 70-85cm (28-33in).
