Mangave 'Moonglow' - Gift

Boasting the architectural qualities of an Agave, but much faster growing, Mangave ?Moonglow? makes a striking specimen plant for a conservatory or patio pot. With narrow leaves held rigidly from the base, it forms a bold silhouette of spiky leaves. Forming a tight rosette of fleshy, evergreen foliage, the margins of each sharply pointed leaf has tiny spines like a fine comb. The leaves are a glowing silvery-blue scattered with contrasting dark purple flecks. Mangave is a hybrid cross between an Agave and Manfreda, hardier than an Agave, faster-growing, lacking those vicious spikes and with a fuller, tighter rosette which is similar to an Echeveria. Drought tolerant, it will require little watering and can be grown outside all year in areas with very mild winters such as coastal and city gardens, but like most tender perennials, will otherwise need to be brought into a frost-free greenhouse or conservatory over winter.
