The Winter Flowering Cherry, Prunus subhirtella 'Autumnalis Rosea,' is a tiny deciduous tree that is sometimes cultivated as a shrub to offer winter blooms in beds and borders. As the leaves begin to turn yellow and fall, delicate, pale pink blossoms appear and continue to open all through autumn, winter, and early spring, providing a splash of color to offset the gloom. This plant is easy to grow and requires little maintenance; nevertheless, it can be coaxed to grow to the size and form required for the best effects in your garden. Height: 8m (26').
