Shrubs play a vital role in the garden, bringing permanent shape and structure and year-round interest to your garden, helping to showcase your seasonal flower displays. You'll have floral, foliage and stem colour right from the start of the year with our Spring Flowering Shrub Trio. The collection will look great planted together as a long-season shrubbery, offering a floral feast for the start of the year. Alternatively dot the collection around your garden, mixing in with perennials and seasonal bedding for winning border displays. Each variety in the mix will also perform perfectly in containers - set them in pots and surround yourself on the patio next summer. In this collection you will recieve one each of the following varieties Forsythia intermedia - Nothing says spring is on its way like a forsythia. The branches of neat-growing Forsythia intermedia will be wreathed in bright yellow flowers that light up the garden. Team this easy-to-grow plant with other spring-flowering shrubs and early crocuses (Crocus) or daffodils (Narcissus) in beds and borders. Reliable and hardy, it?s equally good as an informal hedge or wall shrub. Height 3m (10?). Spread 3m (10?). Weigela rosea - A useful addition to any garden, it's popular for its undemanding nature and abundance of rose-pink tubular flowers in May and June. With elegant arching branches this hardy deciduous shrub makes a lovely addition to borders and woodland gardens, where the late spring flowers attract bees. Versatile and easy to grow, Weigela florida also makes a colourful low maintenance hedge. Height and spread: 2.5m (8'). Deutzia scabra - White flowers blushed with pink hang down in panicles on along the length of the stems of this pretty deciduous shrub, Deutzia scabra is a hardy shrub that will always catch the eye in any shrub border when the blooms appear in early summer. Peeling pale brown bark also adds interest during the winter months too. Height and Spread: 3m (10?).
