Cloaked in green foliage throughout summer, Cornus sanguinea 'Winter Flame' bears tiny white flowers followed by glossy black berries. Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' - This compact, evergreen shrub is a popular choice for borders and patio containers, where plants will provide colour and interest all year round. Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' is a male clone bearing rosettes of glossy, aromatic leaves. Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' - The best known of its species, Photinia 'Red Robin' is well loved for its blaze of bright scarlet young foliage in spring. The glossy new leaves and crimson stems make a strong contrast with the mature green foliage lower down the plant, giving an eye catching two-tone effect.
